The former Chelsea manager has joined the North London side after they sacked Nuno Espirito following Man United loss
Indeed the Man United Tottenham game was a very decisive for both managers as Ole managed to saved his job while Nuno is axed.
After an extended meeting, Tottenham managed to come up with a unified decision of replacing the former Wolverhampton manager.
Luckily for Spurs they managed to reach an agreement they initially failed with and that’s signing Antonio Conte.
The former Inter Milan manager was linked to Man United Job after the Red Devils shamefully lost to Liverpool prior their Tottenham victory.
But a decision to hand Solskjaer more time to prove himself, delayed Antonio Conte’s takeover which has also caused United to miss out on signing the Italian as well as he now joined Tottenham.
Speaking following his announcement of reaching a contract agreement, Conte said; “Am happy with the new job. Of course there were talks about Man United but I have a better offer now.
“I was ready for any team with a good project and Tottenham’s project appears perfect to me.
Asked if he regretted not getting the Man United job, he continued “No, why would I? I have won the Serie A just last season so any team that really needs me will come for me.
“Tottenham trusts me and that’s why they came for me and am happy to he here with the quality of players available.
“I have been in the league once with Chelsea and everyone knows how it went.
“I want to achieve great things with Spurs.”
