Ole Solskjaer claims Ronaldo could start from the bench against Liverpool
The Norwegian appears confident over his pick for the game tomorrow as he suggests he could start Ronaldo from the bench tomorrow.
Despite being United’s savior, Cristiano Ronaldo could be starting from the bench against Liverpool tomorrow.
Following comments from Solskjaer today, it’s believed there are chances of this happening.
“I’ll always back Cristiano in any competition,” Solskjaer said ahead of the game tomorrow. “He’s unique and his goalscoring record has been fantastic but that being said Salah is at the moment on fire. You see some of the goals he’s scored lately, we know we have to be at our best to defend against him.
“We know the competition tomorrow is very intense and we need to buckle up and need to field the fittest in the squad.
“I will have to be very careful with the choice of players tomorrow cause Liverpool pose a very big threat as a team.
“They are in the race for the top 4 and so are we. They are very talented team, they have great players.
“But am sure we will serve them a good battle tomorrow with the best available. Maybe Ronaldo will start against them tomorrow.
“Although the issue remains fitness, he is sure very good with fitness but if that isn’t the case tomorrow then he could be starting from the bench.
“As a team, we have to be compact, aggressive and give every single drop of nous, knowledge, strong mindset, physical energy.
“It’s going to take everything to get results against the best teams in the world and Europe, and Liverpool are one of them. They’re one of the teams we’re chasing. What they’ve done the last four years is what we’re striving towards and go past them.
