Klopp is of the notion that he is set out to cause United harm and put a stall on their pursuit for top 4
Man United prepare to welcome Liverpool at Old Trafford this weekend after coming off a stunning come back victory against Atalanta on Wednesday.
United will now be going up against a tougher side in the midst of Ole Solskjaer’s uncertain future at the club.
It’s said that despite having won the match against Atalanta, Ole’s place in the club is still under scrutiny although this doesn’t still change the support from the Board.
But one thing is known, a loss to Liverpool will reignite the call for Ole’s sack both on social media and other places.
Knowing this, Klopp seems to be trailing on that part of inflicting pain on the Norwegian as he revealed to be prepared to take on Manchester United.
“We all know the importance of this game,” Klopp said ahead of the clash.
“I’ve prepared the team for a tough game against an exceptional opponent. United have a really good team and it’s a home game for them as well.”
Manchester United are sitting far outside the top 4 while Liverpool trail just a single point behind league leaders Chelsea.
Materializing a win will help Liverpool keep their race for top spot across this weekend as Chelsea will be facing Norwich City which is considered a weaker opponent compared to Man United.
Klopp has his eyes on another Premier League trophy but that would mean tougher fight, given the competition in the league currently.
