The Belgian limped off Chelsea Malmo game after a rough tackle that led to Jorginho netting the second goal
Chelsea is set to be without their key man for a while following his injury against Malmo on Wednesday night during their UEFA Champions League encounter.
The former Inter Milan striker was impressive while still in the pitch and from an opportunity that almost had him scoring, Lukaku was knocked on the ankle.
He actually tried to fight through the defense line so as to find space to fire in a shot but the defenders knowing of the threat he posses in their box decided to take him down no matter what it takes.
With this winning a penalty for Chelsea, it also meant sacrificing Romelu Lukaku who had to be subbed off and replaced by Kai Havertz.
Lukaku has appeared to be very happy being back at Stamford Bridge where he initially failed to get a chance before leaving for Everton.
His passion and reactions during the games clearly shows how attached he feels to Chelsea and being out for a while would actually have him feel bad.
Following reports from the medical team, Lukaku will be out for approximately 4 weeks before returning.
This would mean him missing games against Norwich, Southampton, Newcastle United, a returning leg against Malmo, Burnley and then possibly Leicester City.
Another injured player is Timo Werner but it’s yet to be determined how long he will be out for.
Pulisic is still out injured and yet to return into action.
