This week, the Champions League returns in style as two of football┬┤s heavyweights clash at the Camp Nou as Barcelona takes on Bayern Munich.

Having had a free weekend, the hosts should come into this potentially enthralling contest fresh and ready for an enormous challenge against a Bayern side that tore them apart in Lisbon last year, resulting in perhaps the worst performance in Barcelona┬┤s history with Bayern claiming a barely believable 8:2 win on the night.

While plenty has changed in the intervening months, not much of it has been positive for Barca, who now finds themselves shorn of club legend Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann, with both leaving in the wake of the financial crisis engulfing the club.In contrast, visiting Bayern arrive with few such problems.

Although it remains to be seen if this Bayern side is as dominant as the one who tore Barca to shreds just over a year ago but given recent form, you would have to say yes with Robert Lewandowski seemingly in un-stoppable form.
