Where is Leo Messi? While Les Parisiens ask this question week in week out, Reims fans will be happy if the 6x Ballon d’Or winner will again not feature for the French giants this weekend. Reims had an explosive 1-1 draw with Metz last time around as both the coaches got sent off for a major argument, while PSG continued their title challenge as they put 4 past Brest easily to continue their winning streak Ligue 1.

Reims remain unbeaten since game week one, but it’s a falsified statement because they are also winless since all the three fixtures have ended in sharing points (draws). But they have scored against 5 of their last 6 opponents now, meaning that their approach has always been positive about winning points. This statistic will be needed again as they haven’t scored in the last 3 meetings against PSG, let alone winning the head to head battle. These are going to be long 90 minutes for the hosts.

With the 4-2 win over Brest, PSG continued their record of 3 straight wins and at least 2 goals scored in each win. With 10 goals scored in 3 games, the only blot on their picture-perfect record is their lack of clean sheets. Pochettino will be hoping to keep a clean sheet in this one as the Parisiens always do against Reims, but away from home, any game is a tricky affair.

We believe that this game will see PSG’s first clean sheet of the season, as Reims have not figured out how to break this very defence in the last two seasons now.
